Girls soccer suddenly dominate
Two more games and two more big wins for the suddenly dominate Whitefish girls soccer team.
The Lady Bulldogs (6-0, 9-1) posted a pair of conference wins this week, topping Polson 5-1 and Libby 5-0 to remain undefeated in Northern A play going into the final week of the regular season.
Whitefish led Tuesday’s match with Polson 1-0 after 40 minutes, then exploded in the second half.
Haley Nicholson tallied in the 53rd minute off an assist from Grace Kurtz, and senior captain Caroline Carbo launched back-to-back missiles from 40 yards out that hit the net.
At Libby, the Lady Dogs took care of business from the start.
Kurtz and Nicholson both tallied twice and Cassidy Grady capped the scoring in the 59th minute.
Whitefish has outscored their opponents 37 to 11 this season. The defense has allowed Northwest A teams to score only five goals.
