Fishing Report from the Mac Man

| May 31, 2013 12:13 PM

I’ve had so many folks asking about some place to catch perch, and up to this point I haven’t had any information definite enough.

On May 26, Rance Hertz and I were in search of bait fish and ended up in the southeast corner of Flathead Lake’s East Bay in 5 1/2 feet of water. We began catching perch, so we anchored up.

Using night crawlers on various setups we caught close to 200 fish in 3 1/2 hours late in the afternoon. We kept close to 90, three of which were over 13 inches long.
