Bandoleros, Hobby Stock, Super Stock results from Saturday
Montana Raceway Park kicked off the Memorial day weekend in style Saturday with a terrific night of racing and fun. At halftime, kids were allowed onto the quarter-mile high banked oval to have their chance to race. Some tough competition, a lot of smiles and a trophy to take home were had by all.
The festivities came alive in the Bandolero class, where the Denney brothers showed there wouldn’t be an easy victory. All three races came down to the final stretch to determine the winner.
The Hobby Stock had a very different outcome than last week. Dustin Martell rolled into the weekend holding onto first place in the points battle after he showed brute force winning the Main and the heat races in the season opener.
The final class of the night was the Super Stocks, which once again showed there is no clear front runner in the chase for the points championship. Tylor Schweigert kicked off the night setting a fast time. He leads the division by 11 points over Tyler Corpron coming out of the weekend.
The action continues next weekend with the rain-delayed and rescheduled second annual G.E.T. Rich at the Montana Gold 212, which will feature 212 laps of Kalispell Toyota Super Late Model action along with the Flathead Beacon Bombers, CHS Legends, Hornets, and Bandoleros.
