West Glacier School levy is for computer upgrades
The West Glacier School District board of trustees will bring a recurring technology levy to the voters next month.
Voters will be asked to approve a two mill levy to raise about $9,420 for annual technology upgrades at the school.
West Glacier School hasn’t upgraded its computers in seven years and hasn’t asked voters for a levy since 2006, school board chairman Casey Heupel said.
The cost of the levy to property owners would be $2.77 for a home assessed at $100,000 and $5.54 for a $200,000 home.
The levy will go toward upgrading equipment, purchasing software and for teacher training, he said. The vote is scheduled for May 7.
