Betty Zingleman

Betty “Dolly” Zingleman, 76, of Watford City, N.D., passed away March 19, 2013, in Watford City.

She was born April 8, 1936, to Andrew and Leva (Thompson) Johnston on the family farm north of Watford City.

On May 27, 1956, she married George Zingleman, in the Garden Lutheran Church. They moved to Columbia Falls and made their home there until 1979. They were members of the Rocky Mountain Saddle Club and the Women of the Moose Lodge.

Dolly is survived by her daughters Monte and Geoff Gaukler, of Grand Forks, N.D., and Dawn Pietron, of Kalispell; six grandchildren; brothers Jim and Elva Lou Johnston, of Grassy Butte, N.D., Ted and Janice Johnston, of Trenton, N.D., Punk and Phyllis Ellingson, of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Babe and Rob Olson, of Williston, N.D.; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services took place March 23, 2013, at the Garden Lutheran Church in Watford City, with Pastor Rob Favorite officiating. Interment was at Schafer Cemetery in Watford City.
