11:44 a.m. A woman on Dakota Avenue was reportedly threatened by her brother in-law during a verbal dispute over dogs not staying on their property.

1:42 p.m. A hypodermic needle was found on State Park Road.

7:11 p.m. The driver of a tan Toyota pickup left without paying for $20 in fuel from a U.S. 93 South gas station.

7:42 p.m. Two men were spotted smoking Mary Jane in the hospital parking lot.

11:54 p.m. A young couple parked at City Beach was advised to find a hotel room.

8:10 a.m. Report of a 100-pound dog chasing people on Skyles Place. Police investigated and found a perfectly friendly dog at home.

Wednesday, July 17

1:29 a.m. Report of kids knocking over porta potties and tearing up the grass with their vehicle at Smith Fields.

Thursday, July 18

4:32 p.m. Report of a violent character who allegedly took a swing at another person while at a downtown bar.

5:56 p.m. A totaled Ford mustang and a beat up 1970s Volkswagen were towed from a home on Blanchard Lake Drive. The vehicles had been at the property for five years, but one family member thought they were an eye sore and had them removed. Police advised the family dispute could be taken up in small claims court.

10:28 p.m. People were heard laughing on Mountain Park Drive.

3:04 p.m. An intoxicated woman reported an assault on Central Avenue.

7:44 p.m. Report of a man on Ashar Avenue wearing a winter coat who was lying in the grass trying to stay cool.

Saturday, July 20

2:20 a.m. A man reportedly locked his girlfriend in her room and was yelling at her. It was the woman’s birthday and they were having an argument.

8:36 a.m. A building on Karrow Avenue was vandalized. The windows were broken and beer cans were left behind.

6:31 p.m. Report of a vicious dog on Dakota Avenue being aggressive with children.

11:10 p.m. Report of a burglary on East 7th Street. The oil pan of a truck was punched out.
