Bigfork School District trustees approved a school calendar last week.

Sept. 3 will be the first day of school for students with June 12, 2014 the last day.

In other board action, the trustees approved a 2 percent increase in base salary for administrators. Coupled with a 2 percent longevity increase that employees get for each year of experience working for the district, administrators will receive an additional 4 percent in the next school year.

The trustees had earlier approved the same rate of increase for teachers and classified staff. Teachers and classified staff will also get the average 4 percent increase in the 2014-2015 school year.

Julia Juechter was hired last week as school psychologist at a salary of $55,000. Charlie Ball and Josh Feller were hired as girls swimming and boys wrestling coaches at a salary of $2,376.
