Great baseball season

| July 22, 2013 11:21 AM

The Columbia Falls Baseball 2013 season has come to an end. This season saw some new, fresh, eager faces in our T-Ball Division, as well as some older, determined faces in our Major Division.

All in all CFBB registered more than 275 local kids between the ages of 3 and 12.  A total of 22 different teams played from the end of April to the beginning of June.

The season kicked off in the beginning of February with winter workouts for the Minor and Major Divisions. All of this couldn’t have been done without the numerous volunteers to make sure the fields are prepped, proper documents are submitted, uniforms purchased, games scheduled and equipment bought.

It also couldn’t have been done without all of the volunteer coaches. These volunteers take time away from their jobs and families teaching players how to play the game of baseball.

This league wouldn’t be what it is today without its sponsors as well. Numerous local and valley sponsors donate not just money but also materials to help make the baseball experience a positive one.

There isn’t enough room to list all of the volunteers or sponsors, but if you drive by the Sapa/Johnsrud Baseball Complex, stop in there and take a look at all the banners, and you will see all the different businesses that have helped Columbia Falls Baseball.

I would like to thank all the coaches, volunteers and sponsors for their support and dedication to Columbia Falls Baseball. Not only have you been a positive influence in my life but also the lives of more than 275 local ballplayers. Thank you.
