A woman charged with theft of $5,380 from the Bigfork Stage Stop has changed her plea.

Liana Rose Rowe pleaded guilty to theft, a felony common scheme, according to a June 13 letter from deputy county attorney Kenneth R. Park.

Rowe had pleaded not guilty on Feb. 14 to a theft by embezzlement charge after she failed to load cash into an automated teller machine at the Bigfork gas station and convenience store. The manager of the business, Ron Brevik, contacted the sheriff’s office on Oct. 10 about the missing funds.

County deputy attorney Kenneth Park said Rowe’s plea agreement calls for a six-year deferred sentence and restitution of the stolen funds. Rowe’s sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 12.

Rowe does not have a prior criminal record, Park said.
