Monday, June 24
7:23 a.m. Vegetation was dumped onto motorcycles parked at a motel on Spokane Avenue. The landscaping was also vandalized.
9:48 p.m. Two men were arguing on Dakota Avenue. One man alleged that the other hit his sister. The men were counseled by police.
9:57 p.m. Neighbors on O’Brien Avenue were having a dispute over a broken fence. The fence was later partially repaired.
Tuesday, June 25
11:19 a.m. A driver in a Subaru drove off from a gas pump with the nozzle still in the tank.
12:39 p.m. Report of a dead body in the weeds near Muldown Elementary. A teenager was seen lying in the parking lot. He then walked into the weeds and never came out. Police investigated and found nothing suspicious.
Wednesday, June 26
10:42 a.m. Two suspicious men claiming to be from Estonia told a resident on Iowa Avenue they were looking for host families for Estonian teens.
9:37 p.m. Two men driving to Columbia Falls via Edgewood Drive said they were being followed by two men waving guns. All four subjects were detained and taken to the Whitefish police station.
9:53 p.m. A verbal dispute between two women on West 9th Street led to one being punched.
11:28 p.m. An employee at a business on U.S. 93 South reportedly admitted to stealing cash.
Thursday, June 27
3:23 p.m. Tires were slashed on Iowa Avenue.
5:22 p.m. A woman in Idaho told police her daughter was drinking heavily and not making wise decisions.
6:54 p.m. Report of a 4-year-old in an electric play car on JP Road. The child was not driving very well and was approaching the highway.
7:53 p.m. Report of a suspicious man in the alley off Baker Avenue staring at a woman in her backyard.
8 p.m. Report of two women selling cleaning products door-to-door. A resident on West 8th Street felt they were rude and aggressive.
8:25 p.m. Report of a suspicious man with a Russian accent on Fairway Close claiming to be a foreign exchange student. He said a school had sent him to find homes that had children.
10:05 p.m. Report of possible domestic violence on Baker Avenue. A resident heard a yell. When she asked the neighbor if everything was OK, she got a strange ‘yes.’
Friday, June 28
9:31 p.m. A woman claimed that people were trying to jump her at a restaurant on U.S. 93 South. One person got in her face and tried to punch her.
9:59 p.m. A resident on Colorado Avenue had a gut feeling that the neighbor was molesting his grandchild. The police investigated and found the child was OK.
10:30 p.m. Three reports of fireworks in the City Beach neighborhood between 10:30 and 11:37 p.m.
Saturday, June 29
11:04 p.m. A man on State Park Road said he was stressed out when he fired his 22-caliber rifle inside the house. A piece of the shot hit him in the face. He told police he didn’t think he was trying to kill himself.
Sunday, June 30
1:57 a.m. A woman on Lupfer Avenue told police her neighbor’s house was making a strange “clacking” noise. She went to the house to figure out what the noise was, but the neighbor wouldn’t wake up. It was the air conditioning unit.
2:46 p.m. Disorderly men on Haugen Heights were yelling the F word loudly.
3:38 p.m. Report of people high on weed in a verbal altercation at a home on Wisconsin Avenue.
11:01 p.m. There were eight reports of fireworks between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m.
Monday, July 1
12:26 a.m. Report of a man on a skateboard punching a dog at a home on Skyles Place. The man said the dog attacked him.
1:59 a.m. A woman received a text from an unknown number stating that someone was going to be raped and murdered.
