Plans are rapidly coming together for a revival of the Whitefish Summer Games.

Games organizer Colin Sellwood said an initial meeting last month was well attended and that there is ample support behind the idea.

Dozens of sports are already scheduled, including bag tossing at Craggy Range, basketball at the Mountain Mall, bike racing, bocce ball at the Great Northern, kayak and paddleboarding with Paddlefish Sports, chess at Crush Lounge, cowboy mounted shooting with Scott Ping, golf at the Whitefish Lake Golf Club, horseshoes, ice hockey, lacrosse, mountain biking at Big Mountain, pool and poker at the Remington, racquetball at The Wave, rock/paper/scissors, Wii games at Crush, a roller derby, rugby, shuffleboard at the Great Northern, soccer, softball, table tennis and tennis.

A regular meeting open to anyone will be held every two weeks to discuss ideas. The next meeting is Friday, July 12 at 12:30 p.m. at the Great Northern Bar.

Sellwood notes help is needed building a website for the games.
