Lonnie Lawson

Lonnie Dale Lawson, 77, passed away Jan. 6, 2013, at his home in Kalispell, due to cancer.

He was born June 23, 1935, in Whitefish. He served in the National Guard in Seattle from 1958 to 1963. He married Charmian (Rein) in 1956 in Seattle.

Lonnie worked for the Boeing Co. in Seattle from 1955 to 1964, the Columbia Falls Aluminum Co. from 1964 to 1985, and Boeing from 1985 until he retired in 1993.

Lonnie is survived by his wife of 56 years, Charmian Lawson, of Kalispell; son Darron Lawson, of Kalispell; brother Wayne Lawson and wife Arlene, of Ephrata, Wash.; grandchildren Justin Riley, of Columbia Falls, and Kyle Lawson, of St. Petersburg, Fla.; great grandchild Dakota Riley; and sister-in-law Cheryl Rein, of Vashon, Wash.

No services are planned. Cremation has taken place and Lonnie’s ashes will be scattered in the spring.

Memorials are suggested to a charity of choice.
