John Anderson
John Paul Anderson, 70, passed away Jan. 21, 2013, at his home.
He was born July 28, 1942, to Grant and Genevieve Paul Anderson in Livingston. He lived his first years at Yellowstone National Park. He and his family moved to Glacier National Park in 1947, and he lived in Apgar Village.
John attended Apgar School and Lake Blaine School. He graduated from Columbia Falls High School.
In his younger days, John worked the big cattle ranches on the east side of the mountains. He was a bronc-buster and bull rider, and rodeo was his love. He spent a good part of his life working in the logging industry in the Flathead and all over western Montana. He was a bulldozer operator and worked on many construction projects around Montana. He retired early to care for his aging parents.
John loved to ski and hike on Big Mounain, and he loved to work around his farm near Lake Blaine. He loved nature and loved to observe wildlife, and cared lovingly for his cats.
He is survived by his brother Roger Anderson, of Columbia Falls; his sister Elaine George, of Dardanelle, Ark.; and several nieces and nephews.
At his request, there will be no services.
