Police calls: Man found spying on kids at school
Monday, Feb. 4
12:13 p.m. A man standing in the middle of U.S. 93 South was stopping traffic. He looked confused.
3:34 p.m. A caller was concerned about a canoe left at the Kiddie Park.
Tuesday, Feb. 5
11:42 a.m. A suspicious car was making laps down Kalispell Avenue.
2:20 p.m. Blood was found in a parking lot on East 8th Street. It was reportedly from a fight the previous night.
3:23 p.m. A cleaning lady was hiding in the safe room of a home on Lacy Lane. She believed someone was in the home with her. Police responded and found no one at the home.
9:37 p.m. A woman on Texas Avenue said her boyfriend was intoxicated and that he kicked in the door and was breaking things. She alleged the man was being physical with her.
Wednesday, Feb. 6
1:53 a.m. An intoxicated man was yelling profanities at a trailer court on U.S. 93 South.
2:23 a.m. Men in baggy clothes with beards were seen stumbling around and yelling on Colorado Avenue.
11:10 a.m. A marijuana pipe containing a small amount of marijuana was found near the swing set at an elementary school playground. An employee at the school said it could have been left there over the weekend as there was a lot of traffic in the area from the Winter Carnival parade.
11:28 a.m. Construction equipment was reported stolen on Iowa Avenue.
Thursday, Feb. 7
9:38 a.m. A coffee barista reported receiving calls from a man with a Jamaican accent using explicit language. The man was describing what she looked like.
5:02 p.m. Parts from a BMW vehicle were reported stolen on Yarrow Lane.
5:12 p.m. A man in a SUV parked on Pine Avenue was using a pair of binoculars to look toward the high school. When neighbors confronted the man he said he was spying on his son to make sure he didn’t misbehave.
Friday, Feb. 8
11:48 a.m. A man was seen lying in a snow bank with a sleeping bag on Barkley Lane.
4:57 p.m. A student was reportedly threatened by another person who is not in the school district.
8:03 p.m. A woman on Crestwood Drive reported receiving harassing phone calls from a man who allegedly threatened to kill her.
11:54 p.m. A man was seen walking down the middle of U.S. 93 South carrying a sleeping bag.
Saturday, Feb. 9
1:11 a.m. A physical disturbance was reported on Somers Avenue. A woman was allegedly heard crying and saying “get off me” and “stop hitting me.”
12:22 p.m. A man who was in a hot tub for an hour reportedly passed out in the locker room. He said he had a sinus infection.
1:40 p.m. A man with a bottle of whiskey was sleeping on a couch at a bar on Central Avenue.
6:37 p.m. A man was possibly assaulted while walking to his hotel along U.S. 93 South. He had injuries to his face but didn’t know how he received them.
Sunday, Feb. 10
8:54 a.m. Three dead birds were found on Edgewood Place. It seemed suspicious.
2:25 p.m. A man misplaced $2,500. He last saw the money the previous night while in a taxi.
9:19 p.m. A suspicious truck and trailer were seen at a home on Mountain Park Drive.
