The pilot episode of Bigfork resident Val Anderson and Stone Circle Films’ show “City Swappers” premiers on The Travel Channel on Saturday at 8 a.m.
NW Montana AARP Driver Safety Class
An AARP Driver Safety Class will be held at the Bigfork Senior Center on Feb. 12 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Call 837-4157 to register.
BCPA Concert
“Nashville Star” musician Ashlee Hewitt will perform at the Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, Feb. 9 at 7:30 p.m.

Bigfork Emergency Response Team
Vic Kautzman will be the guest speaker at this month’s BERT meeting at Bigfork Middle School on Feb. 21 from 7-8 p.m.
Kautzman, a security consultant with Federal Protection of Montana, will talk about the changing environment around us and how it relates to the benefits of a security system. He will also will explain the types of devices, approximate system costs, monitoring, and expected response times.

Pachyderm Club
The Glacier Pachyderm Club will meet at the Hilton Garden Inn on the south end of Kalispell on Feb. 8 and 15 from noon to 1 p.m.
Sheriff Chuck Curry will speak on Feb. 8 about the issues facing the area law enforcement community and the impact of current legislation being considered in Helena on our local concerns.
John Donoghue will speak on Feb. 15 about the devastation and following impact of hurricane Sandy on both the east coast and the entire country given the density of businesses found in the area most affected by the storm.

Sheriff’s academy
The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for the spring session of the 10-week Sheriff’s Citizens Academy, which will be held on Wednesdays from 6-9 p.m. beginning March 27. Free tax help
Flathead Valley Community College in partnership with Community Action Partnership will provide low-to-moderate income individuals, families and senior citizens with free tax assistance and preparation from Feb. 8 through April 12 on the FVCC campus, in the Arts and Technology Building, Room 236, on Fridays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, call 756-3372.

The Montana Old Time Fiddlers will be holding their monthly gathering at the Bigfork Inn on Saturday Feb. 9 from 2-5 p.m.
