More snow coming
The National Weather Service in Missoula forecasts that a northwest flow will remain over western Montana through Tuesday night, Dec. 31. A series of weak disturbances will bring widespread light snow across the region.
The first disturbance moved through Northwest Montana on Sunday, with snowfall on the mountain passes and valley locations.
A more moist disturbance is expected Monday afternoon through Tuesday, which will cause more widespread impacts to roads due to accumulating snow.
There is also a slight chance of some light freezing rain Monday night into Tuesday morning, especially across Northwest Montana.
The weather service forecasts 2-4 inches in the Glacier National Park and Seeley/Swan regions, up to 6 inches at Marias Pass and 1-3 inches in the Flathead and Mission valleys.
