Helen Kingsbury

Helen Elaine (Thompson) Kingsbury, 63, passed away surrounded by her family on Dec. 25, 2013, after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer.

She was born to Charles and Mary (McDevitt) Thompson in Butte on Aug. 24, 1950. She attended school in Butte and graduated from Butte High School in 1969.

She married Henry “Pete” Kingsbury on May 18, 1975, in Butte, where they resided until moving to Columbia Falls in 1979 to raise their family.

She is survived by her husband; sister Mary Esther, of Anaconda; brother Bob, of Columbia Falls; children Tonja Wiegand, of Yorktown Heights, N.Y., Brandi Cotner, of Boise, Idaho, and Brian Kingsbury, of Columbia Falls; and eight grandchildren.   

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
