Tim Friske

Tim Dean Roy Friske, 55, passed away at his home in Columbia Falls on Dec. 20, 2013.

He was born at his home in Columbia Falls on Feb. 3, 1958, to Forrest and Jane Friske. He lived in Columbia Falls his entire life, attending school and graduating in 1977.

Tim was a dedicated husband, father, brother, hard worker and friend. Tim worked at Plum Creek for 27 years and then opened his own automotive shop in 2004, Friske Automotive. Three years later, he went into end-stage renal failure and was later diagnosed with multiple myeloma, undergoing two stem cells transplants.

Tim is survived by his wife of 29 years, Phyllis; daughter Sarah Jane, her husband Nick Rosenbaum; son Nick and his girlfriend Erica Miller; mother-in-law Deloras Peters; sisters Tanna Friske, of Columbia Falls, and Tina Berg and husband Bill, of Marion; sisters-in-law Mary Nicholas and Donna Peters; brothers-in-law Joe Peters and wife Lynda, Fred Peters and Bill Nicholas; and numerous nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and friends.

Services will be held at Fresh Life Church, at The Liberty, 120 First Avenue East, in Kalispell on Saturday, Dec. 28, at 11 a.m.. A reception will follow at Columbia Falls Junior High School School at 1 p.m.
