It’s been 16 years since brothers-in-law Brad Stodghill and Ryan Peterson purchased their shipping business on Grand Avenue.

Originally known as Mailboxes Etc., the business changed its name to The UPS Store six years ago, Stodghill said. The store opened six months prior to the brothers-in-law buying it.

The biggest thing people don’t know about the business is that they handle both United Parcel Service (UPS) and U.S. Postal Service (USPS) shipping. “People can come and compare rates,” he said.

In addition to shipping, The UPS Store offers packing services and is a full-service print shop. The store prints banners, business cards, business rack cards and flyers, for example. The business offers a pack-and-ship guarantee that comes included whenever one uses their packing service. Prices are based on weight and destination.

In addition to the brothers-in-law, who are transplanted Californians, other store employees include Zach Sabby and Serena Zavala.

“We’re extremely community involved,” Stodghill said, noting the store often donates to Bigfork schools and the children’s theatre.
