GPIA plane crash sends two to hospital
A twin-engine Beech Baron with five people on board made a hard landing at Glacier Park International Airport on Monday at about 9 a.m.
One person was seriously injured after the small plane veered off the southern end of the runway to the west, according to airport director Cindi Martin.
The seriously injured person and another person who suffered minor injuries were transported by ambulance to Kalispell Regional Medical Center. The other three people on board were not hurt.
Martin said the airport and runway were closed shortly after the crash and reopened about an hour later. No commercial airline flights were interrupted.
The incident will be investigated by the National Transportation Safety Board.
