American Legion post

| December 5, 2013 2:24 PM

The first official meeting for the re-organization and revitalization of the American Legion Post 72, Columbia Falls, will be held at the Montana Veterans Home, Conference Room B, on Jan. 13, at 7 p.m.

We had enough interest in the Dec. 2 meeting that I will follow through in helping to get this post going again.

Items to be done will be discussion, nominations and elections of officers. Those jobs required are commander, post adjutant, chaplain and a formal sergeant-at arms for the door.

We will also look at our projects, which in the near future will be the Memorial Wall and the White Marker (highway crosses) maintenance project.

As of Dec. 2, we have 32 paid members expecting us to carry on with this post.  Any questions, contact me through Columbia Falls City Hall or come to the meeting.
