| December 1, 2013 9:50 AM

Dewey Eugene Bacon, 56, was born June 28, 1957, in Whitefish and passed away on Nove. 29, 2013 at his home in Hungry Horse due to complications of cancer.

Dewey grew up in Whitefish and graduated from Whitefish High School. He worked at the Columbia Falls Aluminum Co. for 25 years until he was disabled and then retired.

As a young man, Dewey loved to ski on Big Mountain and learned how to box. He always loved a good boxing match. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and taking his four-wheeler into the mountains and riding motorcycles, especially into Glacier National Park. He also loved going out to the ocean.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Lloyd Murphy and Minnie Mae Murphy-Dunn, Dewey Lee Bacon Sr. and Enid Bacon-Gregg.

He is survived by his wife Donna; sons Travis and Michael Bacon; stepchildren Kelley Kercher, Kathy Park and Joshua Kercher; parents Dewey and Dorothy Bacon; brothers Allan and Randi Bacon, and John and Jan Bacon and their children; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and many brothers and sisters of the heart.

At this time, there are no memorials planned. “Just remember the good times you had with him.”
