The sixth annual Rumble In The Bay car show in Bigfork is expected to draw thousands of people on Sunday, Sept. 1, over the Labor Day weekend.

More than 300 vehicles and 4,000 people attended last year’s event. Sponsored by the Bigfork VFW Post 4042, the show attracts a wide variety of makes and models, including early vintage cars.

Both Grand and Electric avenues will be closed to traffic, and live music will be provided throughout the event. There will also be a poker walk and costume contest for car show participants.

Coinciding with the car show, just outside Bigfork at the Ferndale Airport, the Experimental Aircraft Association’s annual Rumble Over The Bay fly-in will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

A free shuttle bus will transport people from the airport to Bigfork Village. At noon, a World War II vintage Vought-Corsair F4U will fly over downtown Bigfork.
