Marilyn Simis McQuiston

Marilyn Simis McQuiston, a former resident of Bigfork, passed away July 28, 2013, in Phoenix following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. While living in Bigfork Marilyn attended St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church and was an active member of the Bigfork Lady Lions Club. She loved family gatherings, painting, knitting, camping, gardening and collecting Native American art. Marilyn is survived by her husband, Don McQuiston; six children, Cindy Anderson (Andy), Vicky Simis (Garrett), Richard Simis (Melissa), Mimi Hill (Jeff), Allan Simis (Kathy) and Philip Simis (Suzanne); 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. All of her grandchildren called her “Dah” and she loved each and every one. Funeral services were held Aug. 2. The family suggests that memorial donations be made to: Hospice of the Valley, 1520 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ, 85014.
