Sen. Max Baucus will head up the North Fork for his 96th work day since taking office on Thursday, Aug. 8. As part of his efforts to highlight his 40-year mission to protect the North Fork of the Flathead River, Baucus will spend the day working alongside Montana Conservation Corps crews on trails connecting to the Glacier View Trailhead.

Baucus recently secured unanimous bipartisan support from the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee for his North Fork Watershed Protection Act and is continuing his push to get the bill signed into law before his final term ends in 2015.

Another priority is completing 100 of his signature work days. The North Fork work day will mark his 96th.
