Election canceled

This year’s election for School District 6 board of trustees has been canceled because the only candidates who filed were the three incumbents and there were no challengers.

Grad party

Columbia Falls High School seniors are reminded to turn in their permission slips for the Class of 2013 graduation party by April 20. Forms can be found in the office, on the high school Web site or by calling 892-1162 to have one e-mailed. Coldstone Creamery in Kalispell has offered to donate 15 percent of profits made at their store on Wednesday, May 1, from 5 to 10 p.m. to help fund the party. The next parent organizing meeting will take place Wednesday, May 8, at 7 p.m. in the high school foyer. For more information, call Kathy Price at 253-3775.

Outdoor youth

The Montana Conservation Corps is looking for teens 15-17 years old to participate in their Youth Service Expedition program this summer. Two sessions of outdoor adventure and volunteer service will take place in the National Bison Range, southeastern Montana and the Rocky Mountain Front. Deadline to apply is June 7 and July 12 for the two sessions. For more information, visit online at www.mtcorps.org.
