Police calls: String of vehicle break-ins reported
Monday, April 8
6 a.m. A burglar broke into a coffee shop on Wisconsin Avenue.
6:25 a.m. A building was trashed on Baker Avenue.
9:57 a.m. The gas line of a company truck was cut and the tank emptied. It was the second time it has happened in a month.
7:52 p.m. A man on O’Brien Avenue claimed his wife was hitting him. Both were extremely intoxicated and were separated for the night.
Tuesday, April 9
8:03 a.m. Police checked on a man riding a bike across the viaduct. The man wasn’t sure how to use the bike.
12:10 p.m. A pickup flipped over into a ditch on Houston Point Drive.
9:40 p.m. A heroin overdose was reported on Wisconsin Avenue. The man was unconscious and blue in the face.

9:45 p.m. Loud drumming was reported on Wisconsin Avenue.
Thursday, April 11
2:08 p.m. A backpack with the ingredients for meth was recently turned into police by a Martin City resident. The woman wanted the backpack returned.
10:02 p.m. Sunglasses and a dance bag were stolen from an unlocked vehicle at the mall.
Friday, April 12
7:51 a.m. Items were stolen from an unlocked car on Wisconsin Avenue.
4:22 p.m. A random little boy showed up at a residence on Columbia Avenue. The boy missed his bus and didn’t know where he lived.
10:33 p.m. An unresponsive man was found lying on the bike path with cuts on his forehead. He was taken to the hospital.

1:12 p.m. An iPod, camera and camp box were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Denver Street.
Sunday, April 14
12:02 a.m. Kids on Colorado Avenue were ringing a resident’s door bell and running away.
1:16 a.m. A man on Central Avenue was seen walking around with a gun on his hip trying to get into bars.

12:28 a.m. A man was seen punching and kicking a door on Somers Avenue.
