Reward offered for Whitefish poachers

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is offering a $4,450 reward for the deer poaching case near Whitefish.

Game wardens for some time now have been seeking information leading to the conviction of the person or persons involved in the illegal shooting of at least 19 deer in a two-year period. The deer were shot and left to rot. Some of the antlers were taken.

Most shootings occurred at night on Farm to Market Road, Twin Bridges Road, Voerman Road, Monegan Road and other back roads in the Whitefish area.
