Dewey Hogard

Dewey “Bud” C. Hogard, 85, passed away Aug. 21, 2012, in Boise, Idaho, due to natural causes.

He was born on Nov. 11, 1926, to Dewey Calvert and Eva. During World War II, he enlisted in the Navy and served in the Pacific aboard the USS Stonewall. Returning to Boise after the war, he married Erma Lough. He later married Irene Wargelin and moved to the Flathead Valley.

He and Irene operated an accounting business both before and after he retired from the Columbia Falls Aluminum Co. plant.

Dewey is survived by son Guy Lee, of Boise; daughter K. Karol, of Idaho; son Stephen, in the Philippines; son Kurt, of Columbia Falls; granddaughters Angie and Scandia; grandsons Chad, Cyrus and Christopher; and his adopted family of sons, daughters, grandchildren and a growing number of great-grandchildren.

Final inurnment took place Oct. 22, 2012, at Glacier Memorial Gardens in Kalispell.
