WHS volleyball continues winning streak
Whitefish was able to stay focused during an emotional senior night and homecoming match against Columbia Falls and emerge with an easy three-set Northwestern A volleyball victory.
“It was a big night for us,” Whitefish coach Sarah Scott said. “Homecoming, senior night and we’re playing our biggest rival Columbia Falls. I was very pleased with our consistency on an emotion-packed night.”
Whitefish is undefeated in league play with only one more conference match remaining.
Emily Sullivan led the way with nine kills, followed by eight from Marlow Schulz, who also picked up six digs.
“Marlow is becoming more and more consistent at the net for us,” Scott said.
Baylee Tveidt also picked up six digs, while Bekah Weaver led with 24 assists. Kelsey McFadden tallied three of Whitefish’s eight aces.
The Dogs play at a Missoula tournament this weekend where they will face Class AA and Class A schools.
“We’ll be playing against teams we’re not used to seeing,” Scott said. “What will be really telling is if we can make adjustments right away.”
