The Hockaday Museum of Art’s Senior Tour and Tea Day is set for Nov. 8 for residents over the age of 60 to have free entry to the museum for a guided tour with free coffee, tea, and cookies from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Guests are asked to meet at the front desk at 10:30 a.m. for the tour.

This month’s exhibit is the museum’s annual Members Salon with over 100 artist members’ works on display in a wide variety of styles and media. Guests are invited to cast their votes for their favorites in the People’s Choice Award competition.

Celinda English’s “Textural Expressions” continues through Nov. 17. English is the winner of the annual “Catch the Vision: From Dreams to Discovery” emerging artists competition and received a solo exhibition at the Hockaday in which to showcase her mixed media art.

The familiar and inspiring Crown of the Continent Gallery showcases the Art and Artists of Glacier National Park in the Hockaday’s permanent collection. Featured artists include C.M. Russell, T.J. Hileman, Ace Powell, O.C. Seltzer, Leonard Lopp, John Fery, and Adolph Heinze.

The museum is located in the cultural district of downtown Kalispell at 302 Second Avenue East. It is housed in a 1904 Carnegie Library building that appears on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Museum is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, open year-round on Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. A wheelchair accessible entry and elevator are provided. For more information, visit www.HockadayMuseum.org or call 755-5268.
