Bulldogs rack up All-State honors
After a perfect 15-0 run capped by a state Class A title, it comes as little surprise the Northwest A boys soccer all-conference roster is chock full of Bulldogs.
Ten Whitefish players were selected to the all-conference team for their performance on the pitch this season. Five of those also earned the prestigious all-state honors.
Seniors Thomas Clark, Sam Donaldson, Sean Janni and Curran Edland, and junior Nathan Boone were named to both the all-state and all-conference teams.
Donaldson led the state with 24 goals, one shy of the state record he set in 2011. Edland wasn’t far behind with 21 goals scored this season. Boone tallied a state-best 23 assists and 15 goals, while Janni picked up 10 goals and 9 assists. Goalkeeper Clark allowed just four goals all season.
Jon Dittman, Tommy Murphy, Addison Clark, Connor Gray and Jared Johnson were selected to the all-conference team.
Seven Lady Bulldogs were selected to the Northwest A girls soccer all-conference team, with three of those selections also earning all-state.
Senior Megan Danczyk, and juniors Caroline Carbo and Madison Grady each took home all-state and all-conference honors.
Danczyk led the team in scoring with 17 goals this season. She added a state-best 16 assists. Carbo tallied five goals and nine assists while playing mostly a defensive position. Grady tallied one goal and five assists.
Juniors Christina Holtvedt and Ella Kobelt, and freshman Cassidy Grady and Anna Peterson were all-conference selections.
