Jacob A. Wormsbecker

Jacob A. “Jake” Wormsbecker, 95, a WWII Army veteran and Hi-Line area farmer who lived on a small cherry orchard near Bigfork from 1980-2011, died on March 25 at the Whitefish hospital. His Yellow Bay orchard, flowers, & handmade “Whirligigs” were a local tourist attraction for many years.

A Memorial Mass was 10:30 a.m. May 12 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Conrad. Burial of ashes followed at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Conrad with Rockman Funeral Chapel in charge.

Jake never married. He was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings. He is survived by nephews and nieces. Condolences can be sent to his niece, Ann VanDessel, of 1222 Haul Road, Joplin, Mt. 59531
