As the election for county commissioner approaches, please consider voting for Ben Stormes for Flathead County Commissioner District 1.

I have known Ben and his family for many years and really value his sincere commitment to this valley. With Ben’s business experience, education and commitment to the community, along with his incredible work ethic, he will bring energy and a wealth of experience and insight to this position.

Ben is able to evaluate the issues on a thoughtful, fair, balanced and, most importantly, impartial basis. He listens and considers multiple perspectives in an effort to better understand an issue, and he’s not one to make a rash decision, but always allows common sense to lead the way.

Ben is a problem-solver by nature with a real willingness to work with people of divergent interests and opinions in order to find workable solutions to important issues. I believe that if elected, Ben will show integrity in making decisions with concern for outcomes that benefit the community. He will always listen to and fervently represent his constituents.

Additionally, as semi-retired, Ben does not have an agenda or special interests he is trying to pursue. He is looking for the best solutions that benefit the community, particularly in the areas of property ownership rights, ensuring a stable and productive workforce, and managing and monitoring the overall fiscal health and growth of the valley.

Ben is not a champion for the status quo, nor is he trying to re-invent the wheel like so many other politicians. He is concerned and believes we must return to those basic principles that made this nation so great. What this county needs are men who are not afraid to stand up for what they believe, who will confront uncomfortable truths and do so without thought for themselves. Ben Stormes does this and will continue to do this.

I believe that Ben’s enthusiasm and long-term perspective would make him a driving force behind the success of the Flathead, and I am grateful for his willingness to serve the citizens of Flathead Valley. I urge you to vote and to participate in our community process and to support Ben Stormes for county commissioner.
