Ronald Olson

Ronald Olson, 72, of Columbia Falls, died at his home on May 1, 2012.

He was born July 29, 1939, to Gordon and Emma (Sunvy) Olson in Warren, Minn. He came to Columbia Falls as a teen and met and married Esther Woessner on June 6, 1958.

Ron worked at Plum Creek, Will Warner logging and the Anaconda Aluminum Co. smelter, where he was a potman for 25 years.

He is survived by his wife Esther Olson; sister Mary-Ann Laymon and husband Larry; brothers Red Olson, and David Olson and wife Janette ; children Lois Murdock and husband David, Gordy Olson and wife Tammy, Ronnie Olson and wife Tracey, and Glen Olson and wife Dawn; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many more family and friends.

A celebration of his life took place at Deer Park School on May 5, 2012.
