Voters approve $14 million bond

Whitefish voters emphatically approved a $14 million school bond issue Thursday.

There were 3,165 voters in favor of the bond, according to the school district. The final tally showed 65.12 percent in support of the issue.

The bond issue approval will result in the renovation of Whitefish High School.

About 34.88 percent, or 1,695 people, voted against the bond issue.

There was 55 percent voter turnout in the mail-in election.
