My name is Rollan Roberts II, and I’m running for state Senate District 3 as a conservative Republican against Bruce Tutvedt.

This is a critical election, and the issues are paramount. The doors I’ve knocked on have expressed extreme displeasure at how they’ve been represented. The issues are clear: Jobs, education, tax reform and local control, and the choice is clear: True conservative or Republican in name only.

I’ve spent my entire career leading companies to fast growth, creating numerous jobs. I’ve written three best-selling books on leadership, business, and personal growth, and I plan to bring jobs to the area like I added jobs to companies. I’ll actively recruit companies to visit the Flathead, then stand side-by-side as the chamber shows them our great resources, reflecting the strong support they’ll have at the state level.

I’m tired of my friends and the good-paying jobs going to Bozeman and North Dakota — it’s time we bring them here.

I’m for the right to work. I believe employees should be able to choose whether or not they want to join a union. Furthermore, small, non-union businesses should be allowed to bid on all state contracts. This is Business 101 for creating jobs.

Montana ranks last in the nation for educational transparency. I believe parents have the right and responsibility to know what is being taught to their children, including sex education. I support public, charter, private, Christian and home-school education.

I oppose regulation without representation (Whitefish doughnut) and think it’s unconscionable that businesses and individuals would be regulated and essentially taxed (through permits and fees) without being represented or able to vote and have a voice.

If you are pro-jobs, pro-gun, pro-life, pro-education, pro-tax reform and pro-limited government, then I humbly ask you to vote for me. Let’s get the Flathead rollin’ again.

Rollan Roberts II is a Republican candidate for Senate District 3, which includes House District 5, rural Columbia Falls.
