Third boat with mussels intercepted in Idaho
A boat inspection site on U.S. 93 in Jackpot, Idaho, uncovered another boat with aquatic invasive mussels.
The boat was traveling from Lake Mead, Nev., when it was intercepted on March 2. It continued on its way to Weiser, Idaho, after being decontaminated.
This is the third fouled boat intercepted by Idaho inspectors this year. Two boats being transported by commercial haulers from the Great Lakes area recently were found to be carrying mussels at an inspection site on U.S. 90 near Wallace, Idaho.
