Showcase and Endowment Ball on same night

First Best Place and the Columbia Falls High School Academic and Alumni Endowment Fund have teamed up for a night of food, music and dancing on Friday, March 23.

The Showcase and Endowment Ball will start with a 5:30 p.m. dinner at Glacier Discovery Square catered by La Cuisine, the Columbia Falls High School cooking class, under the tutelage of chef Greg Dooland. The menu will feature slow-cooked barbecued meats, cole slaw and trimmings. Beer and wine will be served at the meal.

There will also be a silent auction at the dinner benefiting First Best Place. Tickets are $50 per person and include admission to the ball. Tickets are limited to 130 people and can be purchased online at www.firstbestplace.org or by calling 892-1363.

The Endowment Ball will take place at the high school beginning at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the ball only are $12 at the door. The theme of the event is set in the 1930s.

The Copper Mountain Band will perform country music at 8:30 p.m. The Epic photography company will take pictures of couples, and the high school’s Key Club will offer refreshments for sale.

The ball is the kick-off fundraiser for the school’s new academic endowment fund, which will support academic programs in the Columbia Falls school district.

The Columbia Falls High School prom will take place the following evening, Saturday, March 24, , with the grand march beginning at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $40 per couple or $25 per individual.
