Glacier trail fundraiser

The Gateway to Glacier Trail organization would like to thank members of the community, including the Hungry Horse News, for the support provided to our yard and garage sales on two recent Saturdays.

With such rainy weather on June 2, we decided to continue the sale on June 9. We are very grateful for the community support we witnessed for our project — a paved bike-pedestrian path along U.S. 2 from Coram to West Glacier.

Members of the community donated fantastic items for us to sell, and nearly all were anonymous, so this public venue is our best oppportunity to thank everyone. Many other members of the community stopped by and purchased items and visited with us on those rainy days.

Everyone had a positive attitude and endorsement for the bike path. We hope the momentum continues, as this is a huge project. We appreciate all of the positive energy and community support, and we look forward to seeing everyone at our next fundraiser — the second annual Brewfest on the lawn of the Heavens Peak restaurant on U.S. 2 in West Glacier on Saturday, July 14, from 5-10 p.m.
