The Park needs more parking

I read that due to the success of the shuttle bus service, there is an overload of visitors in prime areas of Glacier National Park.

The successful shuttle buses keep numerous cars out and free up parking spaces. They could begin their summer schedule much earlier in the morning and allow hikers on long hikes to ride and prevent extra cars parked all day at Logan Pass.

Why can’t Glacier Park regularly improve the trails to accommodate more foot traffic? Why is that a problem? Parking spaces in prime areas continue to be lacking.

Why isn’t the space the old Avalanche Campground ranger station occupied being opened for the maximum vehicles it could park?

What has happened in recent years — cars will park on the limited shoulders of the narrow Sun Road and visitors try to walk safely, taking young families on the trail to Avalanche Lake. What should be the priority — a historic marker or extra parking spaces?
