Chad Kelly Whyard

Chad Kelly Whyard, 35, of Johnstown, Colo. passed away at St. Luke’s-Presbyterian Medical Center on May 25 after a brave and heroic, eight year battle with leukemia and stemming complications of pneumonia.

Chad was born Oct. 26, 1976 to William and Janice Whyard of Sheridan, Wyo., but grew up in the Flathead Valley and attended Whitefish High School.

After high school, Chad attended Montana State University. He then moved to Colorado, and while a student at Colorado State University, he met the love of his life, Theresa. They were married on Jan. 27, 2001 at the Estes Park YMCA Chapel.

Chad is survived by his wife, Theresa; son, Chad Junior; daughter, Sadie; mother and father, Janice and William Whyard; sister and brother in-law, Michelle and Erik Flink of Kalispell; his mother and father in-law, Bill and Jenny Trippel; and sister in-law, Sandy Trippel, of Fort Collins, Colo.

Chad was an avid outdoorsman who loved to ski, fish, golf, and most of all, spend time with his family.

A service was held in Fort Collins at Timberline Church. Interment followed at Roselawn Cemetery.
