Can we deal with Syria without war?
What is the president to do?
One can respect Sen. John McCain’s history and credentials, but he is still a politician. What, specifically, would he have President Obama do about Syria? Do the Republicans need a new war to replace the ones we have just fought (or rather a few of our numbers have fought)? Is that what we will be voting for in November? If so, count me out.
We keep saying we shouldn’t be the policemen of the world. Do we need to keep the industrial/military complex well oiled with “current” significant conflicts? Is it being soft to try to deal with world matters without resorting to wars? President Assad of Syria currently “owns” his country whether we like it or not.
It is looking more and more like a civil war ... so what does President Obama do about that? Do some people still think that nothing worthwhile can be accomplished any where in the world without the good old USA getting its citizens directly involved?
