Robert Gesek

| January 18, 2012 7:39 AM

Robert Chester Gesek, 54, died in

Helena of an aneurism on Jan. 9, 2012.

He was born to Robert Gesek and

Patricia Wedgwood on June 24, 1957, in Whitefish, the youngest of

six children.

Bobby had a happy childhood living in

Columbia Falls on the North Fork, surrounded by horses, cows, pigs,

dogs, cats and wildlife. He attended school in both Columbia Falls

and Whitefish and graduated from high school in Butte in 1976.

Bobby moved to Helena and lived close to his sister, JoAnne, who he

was very close to. He worked for Helena Industries and was in the

special populations programs, always bringing good cheer wherever

he went.

Bob loved animals and enjoyed his

National Geographic. He could not keep animals where he lived, but

he loved to go to his sister’s and brother’s and play with their

pets. He loved watching all the old Western movies and wrestling,

and had a remarkable memory of all the characters.

He was a beloved uncle for his nieces

and nephews, who loved to spend time with him, as he had the heart

of a child and made their time together fun. His sense of humor and

easy laugh was infectious.

His faith was very important to him,

attending the Catholic Church in Helena.

Bobby is preceded in death by his

brother Steven Gesek; mother Patricia Gesek; brother Mike Gesek;

sister Joanne Gesek; stepmother Margaret Gesek; and sister Diane

Delaney.

Bobby is survived by his father Robert

Gesek; sister Patty Merlot; brother-in-law Steve Delaney; Don

Barton; sister-in-law Dana Gesek; nephews Ryan Delaney, Steve

Kvigne, Mike Gesek and Jake Gesek; nieces Tracy Kelly, Shelly

Zentz, Trisha Delaney and Teresa Plummer; great nephews Kale

Plummer and Mike Gesek, Jr.; great nieces Odessa Zentz, McKenzie

Plummer, Delaney Thorson, Layla Zentz, McKenna Thorson and Kylie

Kelly; and the Burts and Wedgwoods cousins.

A celebration of Bob’s life took place

Jan. 10, 2012, at Anderson Stevenson Wilke Funeral Home, in Helena,

followed by a reception of family and friends.

Burial in Columbia Falls at St.

Richard’s Cemetery will be announced in the future.

Memorials are suggested to the Lewis

and Clark Humane Society, P.O. Box 4455, Helena MT 59604.
