Hooligans need justice

| January 11, 2012 7:59 AM

Several civic minded residents and Columbia Falls Area Chamber of Commerce members met on a sunny Saturday in November to erect the Holiday Village at Marantette Park.

Everyone enjoyed the day visiting and talking about the yearly display which would delight young and old as we entered the holiday season, with the Night of Lights parade leading the celebration.

The defacing of this public property by some hooligans in late December was reported in the Hungry Horse News. Thanks to the city crew who cleaned up the mess after the destruction.

If you know who did this or other graffiti crimes around town, please contact the local police department or sheriff's office. We can't let a few ne'er-do-wells speak for the volumes of good work in our community or in the Flathead. It just isn't who we are.
