The Columbia Falls High School Drama Club will perform the musical romp “When in Rome.”

The club, under the direction of Leah Shanks, has been practicing for several weeks. The story is a romantic comedy about a peasant who falls in love with a princess and has to fight gladiators to get her. A lot goes wrong along the way.

“The music is super fun,” Shanks said. “It spans all genres.”

Shanks has directed the club for nine years now.

Niki Birky plays the princess, Micah Sperry the peasant, and Brutus is played by Hunter Role. Three Roman “muses” move the story line along, played by McKenna Emmerich, Kayla Stephens and Jasmine Goodwin.

Performances will take place March 9, 10, 16 and 17 with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and performances starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 students and seniors, available at the high school office, at the door and at Glacier Wallflower.
