Park forum

A science forum on expanding the Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park in British Columbia will take place at Grouse Mountain Lodge, in Whitefish, on Monday, March 12, from 7-9 p.m. Three researchers will talk about transboundary grizzly bear populations, aquatics, fisheries, ungulates and predator species. A $10 donation will be accepted at the door, and a cash bar will be available. For more information, call 837-0783.

SNOW Bus Brewfest

The Big Mountain Commercial Association will host the Spring Brewfest at the Big Mountain Village at Whitefish Mountain Resort on Saturday, March 3, from 1-5 p.m. The event is a fundraiser for the SNOW Bus that provides free transportation from Whitefish to Big Mountain. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. The Dummy Derby will take place at 4:30 p.m. For more information, call the resort at 862-2900 or the Whitefish Chamber of Commerce at 862-3501.

Letters of interest are being accepted through Feb. 24 for one vacancy with a one-year term on the Columbia Falls City-County Planning Board, five vacancies with three-year terms on Flathead County’s Agency on Aging and four vacancies with three-year terms on the county’s Transportation Advisory Board.
