Ernest Weaver

Ernest L. Weaver, 87, of Columbia Falls, died Friday, Feb. 3, 2012, at the Montana Veterans Home in Columbia Falls.

He was born Aug. 2, 1924, in Broadwater, Neb., to Harris T. and Angie Weaver.

Ernie was in the Marines, serving during World War II. He earned the Purple Heart award. In 1951, he married Janette Anderson, of Polson. She survives Ernie.

They had two sons, Ronald Weaver and wife Sheila, of Aloha, Ore., and Ken Weaver and wife Sharen, of Columbia Falls; grandchildren Nathan, Kelsey, Erin and Greg; six great grandchildren; brothe Walt Weaver, of Kalispell; sisters Daisy Shoemaker, of Kalispell, and Pat Tinseth, of Kalispell; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Private services are planned for later.
