With less than a month until many Flathead County committee terms expire, the commissioners on Monday approved a string of appointments and reappointments.

With five terms expiring on the Flathead County Planning Board, the commissioners reappointed Jeff Larsen, Marie Hickey-AuClaire and Gene Shellerud and appointed Kalispell attorney Noah Bodman to the seat held by Charles Lapp. Lapp did not seek reappointment.

A fifth vacancy on the county Planning Board will be filled by the Flathead Conservation District. Frank DeCourt has held that seat but has resigned from the board.

Flathead County Board of Adjustment members Mark Hash and Calvin Dyck were reappointed, while Charles Lapp and Jeff Goudreau applied for the two vacancies on the board.

Randy Kenyon retained his seat on the North Fork Land-Use Advisory Committee.

Several vacancies on county committees and boards remain, including two 2-year spots on the Columbia Falls City-County Planning Board, two 3-year spots on the Agency On Aging, two 3-year spots on the Mosquito Control Board, one 3-year spot on the Road Advisory Committee and one 3-year spot on the Emergency Medical Services Administration Board.

A letter of interest, including name, address, daytime phone number and qualifications, should be submitted to Flathead County Commissioners, 800 South Main, Room 302 , Kalispell MT 59901-5420. Deadline is Dec. 21. For more information, visit online at http://flathead.mt.gov or call 758-5537.
