This November, it's time for fresh thinking

I have to admit this is a particularly overwhelming campaign season.

I can’t hardly watch TV, listen to the radio, or browse the internet for a few minutes without being bombarded by political ads trying to pull me in different directions, and campaign mailers arrive daily.

But for a while now, one person has stood out and continued to keep my attention. That’s attorney general candidate Tim Fox.

I have known Tim for many years as I was his teacher/basketball coach when he was in high school in Hardin.

Tim was always an over achiever and one of the finest young men I ever had the pleasure of being associated with. He personifies Montana values and work ethic and is totally dedicated to any task he takes on.

Our current attorney general and the other candidates running have spent way too much time working for government. Another reason I like Tim is because of his experience working with and for Montanans across the state.

As attorney general he won’t spend his time cooking up new things that government can do, which would ultimately cost us more money and further erode our civil liberties.

He’ll focus on making state government leaner and more responsive in its core functions.

As the state’s chief legal officer he’ll make protecting our communities his top priority.

As a member of the State Land Board he’ll advocate for responsibly developing our abundant natural resources so that more Montanans can have dependable and predictable jobs. More and better jobs means stronger communities and more money for our public schools to secure a solid future for generations to come.

Montana faces serious challenges, and it’s time for fresh thinking. Tim gets it, and is the “real deal” which is why he has my support now and my vote in November.
